Vengeful baseball zeros in on Jeff Francoeur

Jeff Francoeur

Unfortunately for Mets fans, the determined baseball just missed Francoeur and rolled past him to the wall.  In a stunning twist, Francoeur opted not to chase after the cantankerous ball and instead did the worm all the way to second base.

Does he think the baseball will grow giant spikes before it reaches him? Or is there a flying stadium riding closely behind the ball that we can’t see?

i was at this game and was laughing pretty hard when it happened. even better, the folks at nationals park put the base hit as one of the game highlights – which they also did the game before when the ball bounced out of his glove

It is not easy when things come flying at your head, give the poor a break there is NO way he could have known it was a baseball.
