Mike Francesa and Darrelle Revis nominated for outstanding work in improv comedy
- Updated: October 24, 2011
We've listened to this unintentionally hilarious interview multiple times. Our conclusion? Mike Francesa's obsession with the Revis-Marshall clip stems from the fact that his favorite play in all of football is when one player gives another player "the business."

Chahjuhz …ya know …
Marshall did fall into Revis though, and yes it was a penalty that indeed no ref saw in real time as was part of what Revis was trying to explain to Mikey.
Mike lost track of sports broadcasting rule number 2 or 3 or so …don’t EVER attempt to ask a player to incriminate himself!
Of course there is a whole lot that players know goes on that a sports guy who is not a former player would not know. The NFL goes out of its way to hide some of the dirt in that regard kind of like the NBA does but failed miserably a few years ago. Why else would they have former players and coaches in broadcasting Mikey hmmmmm?
On the other hand it took some balls on the part of Mikey to ask the tough questions instead of the typical East Coast likes of a Rachel Nichols doing yet another puff piece right after the game with especially with that cheery, giddy gap-toothed Giants smile of hers when she is at the end of those games.
